A Letter to All CoBookers
We're in public beta — and first of all, thank you
Hi there,
CoBook is officially entering public beta today.
Before we tell you what it does, we want to say one thing: thank you for being one of the first people to use it. That genuinely means a lot to us.
Why we built this
Two things kept pushing us forward.
First: local shops struggle to remember their regulars. New deals, new items, new events — and there's no easy way to reach the people who actually care, even if they live just around the corner. Second: second-hand listings in the area are scattered everywhere. Buying or selling means digging through multiple groups and chats, wasting time on information that's already outdated.
We live in Grenoble ourselves. We've run into these problems firsthand. So what we wanted to build wasn't a platform that tries to do everything — it was something genuinely useful for local life: a place where the connection between shops and their customers feels natural, and where people in the same city can actually find each other.
CoBook is our answer to that.
Where we are today
Behind those numbers is a small team that built this from scratch, learning as we went. A lot of things are still being refined — but we've been here the whole time, and we're not going anywhere.
What it can do
Follow the places you visit regularly. When they post a new event, product, or deal, you'll hear about it first — no more missing that limited-time offer
Your digital membership cards and coupons, all in one place. Points are credited in real time, with automatic reminders before they expire. Save cards to your Apple or Google Wallet and pull them out whenever you need — no app-opening required.
Spotted something in the second-hand market? Message the seller directly. You can also reach out to any other user on the platform.
Switch freely between English, French and Chinese. Merchant content supports AI translation — language is no longer a barrier.
Two-factor authentication, trusted devices, and login alerts... Your account, your rules.
We'll keep improving things throughout the beta. If you find a bug, something that feels off, or a feature you'd love to see — please tell us. Your feedback directly shapes where CoBook goes next.
Thank you for your trust and patience.
